that being said, lets go over some basic weapons that a newbie can use to get them started.
| medium to close range combat, unless you have excellent recoil control, long range combat will be very difficult. |
the bal is a nice assault rifle to handle the quick easy kills of a single combatant. if you get caight with two or more enemies, seek cover and focus on one at a time.
"the second full-auto AR, the Bal-27 increases its rate of fire as you hold the trigger. This means that your time to kill decreases the longer you fire, and if you happen to catch a second (or even third) target after spraying a first, they drop extremely quickly. (quote from book, Marcus pg. 121)
KF5
| short to medium range, long range battle with this weapon are undesirable. |
The perfect starter gun for running and gunning, the kf5 has the best handling in the sub-machine gun class. The default class, run and gun is a perfect example of how this weapon can be used to its full potential. The book states, "the KF5 is an all around SMG, with the added bonus that its first five rounds deal increased damage. This means that with a fresh mag, you have an edge against the first opponent you encounter (as long as your shots are on target). while you do get a damage boost on your first five rounds, don't reload so frequently that you get into trouble when fighting in CQC! if there are any more enemies nearby, handle them first." (pg. 125, marcus)
these two guns should get you started off nicely. from there, you can get a feel for how everything in the game works and begin your own classes with other weapons and gain your own special edge against everyone else in battle.
